Our Story: The Bedrock behind Bedrock Hardware

Every strong structure begins with a foundation. For Bedrock Hardware, that foundation was built long before the first shelf was stocked or the first customer walked through the door. It was built through sacrifice, service, family, and an unwavering belief in doing what is right.

Angela’s story begins with two people who changed the course of her life through pure love and courage. Her grandparents immigrated to the United States at ages sixty and seventy, not for themselves, but for their grandchildren. They left behind familiarity, comfort, and everything they had known, determined to create opportunity and stability for Angela and her sister. They taught her that love is shown through action, that hard work is an expression of gratitude, and that every person deserves dignity and respect. Their sacrifices became her compass, guiding her toward education, perseverance, and purpose as she earned two bachelor’s degrees and a Juris Doctorate.

Kory’s story was shaped by a different, but equally powerful example of devotion. Raised by a mother who dedicated thirty years to teaching kindergarten, he grew up watching someone who believed that service to others was one of life’s greatest callings. She taught him patience, kindness, and the responsibility we all share to lift others up. Carrying those lessons with him, Kory committed himself to a twenty-two-year career in the United States Air Force, serving his country with honor, resilience, and pride.

Though their journeys began in different places, Angela and Kory found common ground in the values that shaped them: integrity, compassion, family, and service. Those shared beliefs became the inspiration behind Bedrock Hardware. But perhaps the most meaningful part of that legacy is how those values are being carried forward through their children. Morgan, 30, brings creativity and heart to everything she does, a talented photographer who loves animals and proudly works in the store alongside the family. Jordan, 19, is deeply intellectually curious, with a passion for cars, animals, and learning how things work. Charlie, 8, already reflects the same spirit of determination, an avid young mathematician who also loves Roblox, basketball, and wrestling. For Angela and Kory, Bedrock Hardware is not only a place to serve their community; it is also a living classroom where the next generation learns the meaning of work ethic, kindness, responsibility, and service by seeing it practiced every day.

This store is more than a business to them. It is a reflection of the people who raised them, the lessons they carry forward, the values they are instilling in their children, and the community they are honored to serve.

Bedrock Hardware is built on legacy, strengthened by service, and driven by heart. Our name represents the solid foundation laid by those who came before us, the values being passed to the next generation, and the promise we make to those we serve today.
